Casting Calls

The time has come!

The PP are casting for their newest productions, a full-length and a short play!

Are YOU interested in theatre? Do YOU want to be on-stage? Or do YOU want to be the one pulling the strings behind the curtain?

The PP welcome passionate theatre lovers of all levels! No previous experience needed! There are a lot of different things that go into putting on a play – be it sewing costumes, crafting props, designing programmes, scheduling meetings, or even composing music!

We are excited to throw ourselves into the adventure of putting one not one but two plays in the next 5 months!

Nasty Things, Murders, a short play by Arthur Lovegrove is guaranteed to keep you on your toes while providing you with laughs:

“Four ladies in the Home for Retired Gentlewomen are upset when their TV breaks down at the climax of a real-life murder drama. To pass the time, they begin to make up their own theories – but to the horror of three of them, they soon discover that the fourth, gentle Mary, may have actually been the murderess!”

Clown Bar by Adam Szymkowicz, a full-length play that takes you into the world of the underground organized clown crime and will surely reel you in with its wit and noir feeling.

“Happy’s younger brother Timmy is found dead. Now Happy must return to his former life as a clown to find his brother’s killer. But will Happy be able to go home again without getting sucked into the seedy clown underbelly of

vice and violence?”
