Tinted Trails – Literary Drama Walk & Playwright Workshop

Literature, theatre, and arts often happen behind closed curtains and in settings that require a certain code knowledge from attendees. Bureaucratic hurdles often present an obstacle to bring literature out into the public space, where an exchange amongst various groups of people from all kinds of backgrounds is truly possible. While we are perfectly comfortable on the “classical” stage, we also promote taking art to the streets.

That’s why we are joining Tint Journal in their Tinted Trails Festival for Translingual Literature. Tint Journal has enriched the multilingual spheres of literature in Graz as well as around the globe by providing their platform to writers producing creative texts in English as their second or non-native language.

After almost five years of online publishing, Tint Journal is now releasing their first ever printed anthology, Tinted Trails. To promote this event as well as the importance of arts in public spaces, The Pennyless Players together with Tint Journal are taking you on a literary drama walk throughout the city of Graz, performing a selection of short stories and poems from the upcoming anthology.
