What We Need & Why
The name “pennyless” derives from the fact that all proceeds are donated to charity. In the past 16 years, over 30.000 Euros have been donated to charities that deal for example with women’s issues, animal rights, human rights, and educational causes. The PP are therefore dependent on the support of sponsors to come up for costs that arise before the doors are opened for visitors to see us on stage. There are several costs the PP carry before a play is put on stage. These include rent for rehearsal spaces, renting our show location, costumes, make-up, technical costs for light & sound, stage design & props, PR costs (printing, copying, etc), and transportation. With your generous support we can cover this overhead, improve appeal and quality of our show, and provide our chosen charities with a greater donation.
